How it works
The operating principle is really simple: a submerged slurry pump conveys muddy water into an hydrocyclone separator. The hydrocyclone has two axially aligned discharge exits: a small one on the bottom and a bigger one on the top.
Once the muddy water is inside the cyclone, the centrifugal force runs counter to the liquid resistance, thus the bigger mud particles are pulled around the cyclone cone, creating an underflow discharging through the bottom end into the bag. Clear water overflow gets out of top exit and goes back to the decanting pit.
